Jiro and I took to exploring this new park that we haven’t visited yet. We went on two of the three trails in the park, overall about a mile and a half altogether. It was a nice and pleasant environment, and we will visit again soon!
Mundanely interesting … today

I dogsat Layla, my niece’s sweet little Siberian Husky the past week and a half while they traveled to LA for spring break. Jiro and I enjoyed her company, but I think her rambunctiousness, being barely over 2 years old, sometimes got to Jiro every once in a while. They were the perfect ‘frenemies’.

An old tradition long observed with previous Honda co-workers is to share pie on Pi Day (3.14159 …. you know the drill). I hosted the annual get-together this year, so it was coffee and pie at my house this morning. Today is also Jiro’s 9th birthday, so there’s an extra reason to celebrate! (You can see his behind in the photo below.)
What to do on a cold Friday afternoon?

Even puppies can appreciate a beautiful sunset.
Took advantage of today’s excellent weather and brought Jiro to the nearest dog park. Dog day afternoon!
Tried out for the first time a couple of Fracture prints (www.fractureme.com). With Jiro’s pictures, of course. They looked great!
I see you eyeing those crispy pork belly bites!
The ‘playground’ on my front yard at sunset.
Today’s walk with Jiro was a game of ‘dodge the rain”.
Jiro continues to find ways to enjoy the sun from inside the house.
As the temperature soars, Jiro prefers the cool indoors versus the steamy, sticky outdoors.
Jiro continues to chase the sun throughout the house all day.
Probably the most humid as well.
Jiro loves the sun. He’s learned to drag his bed to the spot wherever the sun is coming into the house at the time. And when it moves to the other end of the house later in the day, he just moves over to where it is and flops down on the floor.
New toy, destroyed toy.
