Step-by-step deconstruction of my homemade chicken teriyaki dinner this past Sunday. Teriyaki sauce and miso soup were made from scratch as well.

So, this was the birthday party (for Kevin) that the chocolate bundt cake was for. But before dessert, the family enjoyed some homemade Korean BBQ. It was indoors, so the smoke alarms got busy!

I made a chocolate bundt cake with cream cheese frosting, in the style of Nothing Bundt Cakes for a family member’s birthday. I think it was a success, considering it was my first attempt.
Another trip to the Red Cross donation center in town was today’s good deed.

This year’s Christmas potluck party that I host for Honda co-workers/friends was as festive and flowing with delicious food as any. The weather also cooperated, with highs in the mid-40’s.

I’ve been wanting to visit Fox in the Snow, a popular cafe/breakfast spot with a couple branches in and around Columbus. Some personal business that brought me downtown finally gave me the opportunity. Definitely worth the trip.
